1. The split and payout transparency
The split is the share of income the model keeps. What matters is not only the figure but the base it is calculated from and any deductions on top. A good studio names the split before you start and shows what each payout is made of.
What to ask the studio:
- What is the split and what amount is it calculated from?
- Are there deductions or fees on top of the split?
- Where will I see my statistics and earnings?
2. Payout method and frequency
Find out in advance how and when the money arrives: the method, the schedule, the date of the first payout. The more frequent and predictable the payouts, the easier it is to plan. The terms should be the same in conversation and on paper.
What to ask the studio:
- When will the first payout arrive?
- How often do you pay after that, and can I choose the schedule?
- Which method is the money paid by?
3. Training
Without experience, training decides how quickly you reach an income. Ask whether there is a test period, who runs the first streams and how long support lasts at the start.
What to ask the studio:
- Do you train from scratch?
- Will there be a personal mentor on my first streams?
- Do I need English?
4. Software
Income grows with the number of platforms and with how many members you manage to keep in the chat. Software that gathers the chats into one window and suggests replies takes the routine off you. Ask what exactly the studio provides and whether you pay for it separately.
What to ask the studio:
- Does the studio have its own software, and what does it do?
- How many platforms can I run at once?
- Do I need a powerful computer?
5. Working from home or from an office
Decide where you will work in advance: at home there is no commute and no one watching, in an office the equipment is ready. If you work from home, ask what gear you can start with and whether the studio helps with equipment.
What to ask the studio:
- Can I work from home?
- What gear can I start with?
- Do you help with equipment?
6. Anonymity and data protection
Privacy comes first for many models. Ask whether you can block the stream for your country and city, work under a stage name and where the age-verification documents are kept.
What to ask the studio:
- Can I geo-block the stream for my country and city?
- Are the accounts linked to my personal social media?
- Who sees my documents?
7. Support
There are many questions at the start, and it matters that they are answered quickly. Find out who will be in touch, how fast they reply and whether support continues after training.
What to ask the studio:
- Who will be in touch, and how do I reach them?
- Is there support after training?
8. The contract and terms in writing
Everything agreed should be written down: the split, payouts, fines, the schedule, how leaving the studio works. Terms that exist only in conversation are easy to change after the fact.
What to ask the studio:
- Where are the working terms written down?
- Are there fines or a mandatory schedule?
- What happens if I want to leave?
